Rev. Sharon Gray serves on the ministerial staff of New Mt. Calvary M.B.C. and is dedicated to the leadership of her pastor, Rev. Dr. Lonnie Dawson. With her love for youth, she is a Youth Dept. Supervisor and Sunday School teacher. Knowing that she was created to worship, she uses her gifts as the worship leader on the Kingdom Focus Enhancement Team and in 2005 Rev Gray formed the Women’s Intercessory Prayer Team.  Rev. Gray attributes her working in the church to the example her mother the late Sis. Dorothy Gray led before her.

Candace is a faithful member of Covenant Worship Center in Inglewood , CA where Bishop Andrew C. Turner, II is the Senior Pastor. She is currently a part of the Ministers and Elders staff where she serves as a director and trainer. Among many of Candace’s duties, she is pleased to be a Church School Teacher, and participates with the Women’s Ministry. In June 2002, Candace was blessed to be ordained as an Elder in Covenant Worship Center and has been the Administrator and Teacher of the CWC Bible Institute, where leaders and ministers take seminary level classes and instruction to sharpen their spiritual gifts.

Candace has served as a former officer in the Pacific Baptist and Fellowship Baptist Districts as well as the California Baptist State Convention. A former Tax Auditor for the Internal Revenue Service for 14 years, she is currently employed by a private foundation as well a budding entrepreneur in “Logos Tax Service” an accounting and tax business. In 2004, she was delighted to join the Executive Board of Sisters In Ministry led by Rev. Sonja Dawson, an organization designed to minister to sisters in ministry and service to the body of Christ. Candace is the proud mother of a very gifted 27-year old daughter, Joi Christeen Simpson who received her ministerial license in 2006. Candace loves the Lord with all of her heart and is committed and determined to serve and worship Him for the rest of her life, knowing that it is “in Him we live, and move and have our being!”
